Asteroid Marthahazen (10024)

The following sequence of images were taken Joe Dellinger and Bill Dillon with our club's 18 inch reflector and Apogee AP-8 camera. The images have been cropped to 300x300 pixels (about 12x12 arcminutes), centered on the asteroid. All images were taken on October 14 (UT), 2001. North is at the top.

Images have had dark subtraction and flats applied, and are actually two or three two-minute stacks with compensation for Marthahazen's motion.

The asteroid is centered in the first image and drifts from left to right in the following images. The first image is an animated gif image, with the individual images that made it following.

Marthahazen wasn't the only asteroid in the field. We spotted five other moving objects, all of which were discoveries! They are: 2001 TB19, 2001 TC19, 2001 TF45, 2001 TG45, and 2001 TR45.
